Must Watch: Green Lantern trailer

I’m not gonna lie– when Entertainment Tonight unveiled the first footage of Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern last week, I thought it was garbage. The suit and the effects look dull-ish, simple. Don’t give me the usual excuse being “but it’s a low-res video thingy” because seriously it was pretty disappointing.

Fortunately the full trailer has just been released (which you can witness after the cut) and yes I’m happy at the very least. Sure, the cheesy-like vibe as seen in last week’s sneak peek is still sorta there. Yet the epic space aesthetics has boosted my hype and I’m finally seeing the space opera pitch the makers of this movie are hoping to deliver. Hell yes I’m excited.

Must Watch: Sucker Punch Trailer

Warner Brothers just released the full theatrical trailer of Zack Snyder’s love letter to anything geekery a.k.a. Sucker Punch and you can watch it gloriously after the cut.

Seriously guys, what are you waiting for? Click. It’s Sucker Punch. The teaser trailer released months ago blew our minds and here we are with the supposed full trailer. You have gotta be excited.

Must Watch: Tactics Ogre PSP Remake video clips

Square Enix just released 3 new clips from the upcoming Tactics Ogre remake for the PSP and you can watch ‘em after the cut.

Exciting stuff, yet I’m kinda annoyed by the fact that it won’t be out on Q1 next year. Dammit — it comes out in Japan on November 11 and we English readers might get our hands on it as early as April 2011?! Sucks. Then again this is Square Enix. And SE releasing 4-5 games on the first quarter next year (including Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and Dissidia 2 last time I checked) is a noteworthy improvement.

Must Watch: The Last Story trailer #2

The 2nd trailer of Mistwalker’s eagerly anticipated J-RPG epic for the Wii has been released today. Focusing more on the story rather than the actual gameplay (which was featured in trailer #1), I’m still pretty much sold. Aesthetic wise and that familar Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy creator and the director of TLS) feel of course. Frankly, I’m not even a huge fan of Kimihiko Fujisaka’s art style, which is odd considering I dig Japanese fantasy art. Mostly at least.

Must Watch: Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney debut trailer

Announced yesterday at the Level 5 conference was a crossover title that caught everyone guard. An upcoming 3DS puzzle/adventure featuring Capcom’s spunky lawyer and Level 5′s puzzle maestro. That’s right — Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton together in a brand new game debuting in a brand new handheld. It’s a joint project by -what else- Capcom and Level 5.

The Social Network Review

“Social Network: Watch it or be part of the problem” was the first thing I Plurked and Twittered seconds after coming back from the sneak peek screening. It has been a long time actually since I used that quip, and that’s because I haven’t seen a movie this perfect… in a long time.

Must Watch: Paul teaser trailer

The first teaser trailer of Paul has been released and you can watch it after the jump. Paul is an upcoming comedy/sci-fi film from director Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland). It stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (the dynamnic duo from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) as comicbook/sci-fi geeks, plus an alien voiced by Seth Rogen.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this movie ever since it was announced. You see I’m a big fan of Mottola’s previous works as well as the ensemble cast. It looks fun based on what I’ve seen so far. Let’s not forget it has a geekery-filled plot too. You know I’m always game for that right?
